These paintings by Peter Vos look so soft and etherial. Who would have thought such a distinct style, like Vos’s, could work just as well for a painting of and owl as it does for a mountain?

I think I will always love paintings of sweets and cakes, the only thing I like more are actual sweets and cakes. With titles like Tsuweetnami and Parfait Column I was bound to like Justin Richel’s work. As per usual the rest of his portfolio is just as impressive, despite lacking any depictions of confectionary catastrophes.

Jeremy Lipking is a super talented painter from America. His 19th Century realist style combined with some contemporary compositions and subjects make for some unique and mightily impressive work. If you still aren’t convinced then maybe Christopher Walken holding one of his paintings might help.

Great name, great work.

Amy Bennett creates oil paintings of her own scale models. She considers carefully the story behind the miniature communities she makes and the results are amazing.

“In this new body of works called “Stations”, Gabriel Colaço exposes us to a re-evaluation of shape of the painted object and practical use of structures. Through slicing and moving the image sections and rearranging them with striking new colours, the common context and utility of the representation get lost to offer a new perception of the image.”

This is lovely!

Josie informs me she is showing several new paintings at the Suburbia event in London.
